Today, a working meeting with colleagues from ASTM International (American Society for Testing and Materials).
Our organizations have been holding such events regularly for more than 15 years.
FGUP "STANDARTINFORM" was represented by: Director General Alexander Mikheev, first Deputy Director General Alexander Barkov, Director of the IT Department Anastasiya Karandasheva, from the International Cooperation Department: head of department Yulia Tufanova and Irina Shilkina.
At the meeting, John Pace, Vice President of marketing and publications at ASTM International, introduced Nick Ecart, senior Director for international sales, who will represent ASTM International in Russia.
The issues of distribution, adoption and translation of ASTM standards into Russian were discussed. The topic of uncontrolled distribution was discussed separately.
The focus was also on cooperation in the field of information technology. The parties expressed their readiness to exchange relevant experience in this area and discused possible ways of interaction in more detail.
Reference. Within the framework of the cooperation Agreement, STANDARTINFORM has the right to distribute ASTM standards, translate them into Russian, and store them in the Federal information collection of standards.
