Istanbul, Turkey, 23rd of November 2022 – The General Assembly of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) gathered the delegations of national bodies on standardization of the 46 States. The Russian Federation participated in the SMIIC GA for the first time and it received the Status of the Observer in SMIIC at the end of 2019.

Special workshop “Results of the activities of interstate technical committees on standardization during 2021. The best practices of the activities of interstate technical committees” was held on October 27-28, 2022 according to the Decision of the 61st joint session of the EASC Bureau of Standards and the interstate technical committee № 536 “Methodology of interstate standardization”.

Visit of the Delegation of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (GOST R) headed by the CEO of GOST R Anton Shalaev to the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gases and Gas Technologies
(Gazprom VNIIGAZ) was devoted to the relevant issues of the standardization development and certification in oil and gas sector on the 24th of October 2022. The GOST R Delegation was represented by the employees of the GOST R Central Office and the Heads of the Russian Standardization Institute.

The most important event in the field of standardization, the International Technological Forum “Russian Standards Week”, has already started in Saint Petersburg. This event traditionally coincides with the World Standards Day and it is organized by the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (GOST R). The International Technological Forum becomes a platform for discussions of various topics such as trends of the development of international, regional and national standardization, relevant directions of the development
of standards, new challenges and practices of the activities on technical regulation.

The International Technological Forum “Russian Standards Week” will be held in the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library in Saint Petersburg during October 12-14, 2022. This event traditionally coincides with the World Standards Day.

The results of providing services for scientific and technical support of the activities within the subprogram “Maintenance, development and use of the GLONASS system” of the state program of the Russian Federation “Space Activities of the Russian Federation” were discussed in the framework of the session of the Research and Technology Board of the Russian Standardization Institute. The state customer is the State Space Corporation ROSCOSMOS. The customer of the services is the Joint Stock Company “Central Research Institute for Machine Building” (JSC “TsNIIMash”).
