Istanbul, Turkey, 23rd of November 2022 – The General Assembly of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) gathered the delegations of national bodies on standardization of the 46 States. The Russian Federation participated in the SMIIC GA for the first time and it received the Status of the Observer in SMIIC at the end of 2019.

This event traditionally coincides with the World Standards Day and it is organized by the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (GOST R). The International Technological Forum becomes a platform for discussions of various topics such as trends of the development of international, regional and national standardization, relevant directions of the development
of standards, new challenges and practices of the activities on technical regulation.
